Police treat Free Derry Wall graffiti as sectarian hate crime
Police in Derry have opened an investigation after graffiti was found on Free Derry Corner.
A PSNI spokesperson said the graffiti was noticed by a passing patrol shortly before 1.30am on Friday 15 May.
The matter is being treated as a sectarian hate crime.
The slogan included a reference to the 13 people killed on Bloody Sunday.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information or footage from the area to contact them on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 72 15/05/26.
