Attorney General Addresses CCRC Conference at Queen's University
Dame Brenda King, Attorney General for Northern Ireland, spoke at a conference on miscarriages of justice hosted by the Criminal Cases Review Commission. The event took place in partnership with the School of Law and the Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice at Queen's University.
The conference occurred on 5 May 2026. Dame King contributed to the proceedings and spoke afterward.
She described the Criminal Cases Review Commission as a key safeguard for the criminal justice system. Dame King stated that the commission helps ensure the system functions as intended.
The Attorney General welcomed the commission's outreach efforts at the event. She said the commission's statutory role needs to be known by all.
