A case at Dungannon Crown Court involving charges of controlling prostitution has been postponed because of the ongoing barristers' strike.

Scott Joseph Tootill faces charges related to controlling the prostitution of a woman for financial gain. The allegations state he arranged to meet her to obtain sexual services without payment. He is also accused of making a false representation dishonestly.

The alleged incidents took place between October 1 and December 11, 2021, in Fermanagh.

Tootill lacks barrister representation due to the Criminal Bar Association strike action. Judge Brian Sherrard McSorley remanded him in custody on £500 bail.

He must appear again on June 10.
