Armagh Robinson Library will host two events from the Jaipur Literature Festival on Wednesday, May 27.

The first event starts at 11am. Indian oral historian, author and artist Aanchal Malhotra will discuss her book with Belfast author Paul McVeigh.

The second event begins at 2.30pm. Artists Kartikeya and Makrand will lead a sound healing workshop using Indian classical music for relaxation and emotional wellbeing.

Very Rev Shane Forster, keeper of Armagh Robinson Library, described the 18th century Georgian building as a place of architectural beauty with centuries of knowledge. He noted a Greek inscription above the entrance that translates to 'The Healing Place of the Soul'.

Forster stated that the library welcomes visitors to the events and expects them to experience tranquillity among the books along with peace and wellbeing.

The Jaipur Literature Festival events on the Island of Ireland are free. Advance booking is required.
