Jamie Bryson has obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Open University. He completed the LLB programme as a mature student with no prior qualifications required.

Bryson lists the LLB qualification on his Twitter profile alongside a graduation photo. The programme serves students who did not attend traditional universities such as Queen's or Ulster University.

To qualify as a barrister, Bryson must secure a two-year traineeship with a solicitor. He then needs to complete the postgraduate course at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen's University and register with the Law Society.

Further steps include obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Studies, acceptance into an Inn of Court, and a year of pupillage training.

Last week, Bryson addressed Protestant students at local universities. He advised them to respond to annoyances by causing more disruption and to make others uncomfortable when feeling discomfort themselves.

Bryson attributed classmates wearing GAA tops to malice toward Protestants and urged reciprocal actions.
