A new support group for heart failure patients launches in the Western Trust area of Northern Ireland. The Heart Failure Warriors Support Group NI extends its services to Fermanagh with its first meeting on 27 April 2026.

The Western Health and Social Care Trust Cardiology Service welcomes the expansion. The group offers resources, education, and peer support to patients and families. It seeks to raise awareness and promote early diagnosis.

Denise Whittle, Heart Failure Nurse Specialist, states the group empowers those affected and improves quality of life. The initial gathering occurs from 6.30pm to 8pm at the Salvation Army Hall in Enniskillen.

Western Trust Heart Failure Nurse Specialists attend to answer questions and offer guidance on condition management. The group plans monthly meetings and will alternate venues across the Western Trust area.

Whittle notes the sessions provide ongoing learning, connection, and support for all.
