Sharon Maginnis and Miriam Spence retired from All Children's Integrated Primary School in Newcastle ahead of the Easter holidays. The two women together provided almost 40 years of service to the school.

Principal Neville Watson stated that both began as classroom assistants. Miriam Spence started in 2011. Sharon Maginnis joined in 2005.

Their roles expanded over time. Mrs Spence served as a Special Educational Needs assistant. Mrs Maginnis worked in the school office.

Mr Watson noted their care for children and colleagues remained constant throughout their careers. He said their contributions included support to pupils and staff.

The principal described them as constants, supporters, listeners, and friends to the school community. He added that their impact persists in the confidence they built in children.

Mr Watson wished them health and happiness in retirement. He said retirement is richly deserved and they will always be part of the school family.
