Police discovered cannabis valued at around £200,000 during a search at a property in Dromore, County Down. The Banbridge Neighbourhood Team conducted the targeted operation on Friday, April 17.

Officers found a large number of cannabis plants and substantial amounts of the drug inside. A 37-year-old man faces questioning on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and involvement in the supply of class B drugs.

Inspector Quinn stated that such cannabis operations frequently connect to serious or organised crime. He noted that closing this site disrupts criminal activity.

Inspector Quinn added that local police remain committed to stopping illegal drug supply and prosecuting those who gain from it. He described drug supply and misuse as a cycle that society must work to break.
