Anna Beata Cherek, 40, from Lambfield Court in Dungannon, received a £150 fine and £15 offender's levy at Dungannon Magistrates Court for driving with excess alcohol in her breath.

Police stopped her Audi A6 car near Ballygawley Road on March 16 after a report of a suspected impaired driver. A roadside breath test failed, leading to her transport to Dungannon custody suite.

She recorded 71 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, above the 35 microgram legal limit.

Defence stated Cherek drank into the early morning before driving a short distance to her care home job instead of walking. She is a single mother of four with no prior convictions or penalty points.

District Judge Francis Rafferty imposed a 12-month driving disqualification, citing her clean record and early guilty plea. She has 16 weeks to pay the fines.
