PSNI Investigates Sectarian Hate Crime at Fermanagh Church
Police in Fermanagh are investigating damage to Galloon Parish Church in Newtownbutler as a sectarian-motivated hate crime. The incident occurred over the weekend.
Paint was thrown on outside walls and windows of part of the building. Graffiti, including IRA slogans, was scrawled inside a room. The room was ransacked, with fire extinguishers set off, tables and chairs knocked over, and items smashed on the floor.
Tom Elliot stated there is no justification for the damage at the church.
The PSNI reported the details of the vandalism.
