BBC Launches Made Of Here Campaign in Northern Ireland with 950-Drone Titanic Display
The BBC launched its Made Of Here campaign in Northern Ireland with a display of 950 drones forming the shape of RMS Titanic in Belfast harbour next to the Titanic Slipways on Monday 30 March.
The aerial show references the four-part factual series Titanic Sinks Tonight, produced in Belfast by Stellify Media. That programme first aired in December 2025 and drew over two million viewers across the UK, nearly half via BBC iPlayer.
A centrepiece film from the campaign broadcasts on Thursday 2 April at 8pm on BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC Two Northern Ireland. The slot matches the date and time Titanic left Belfast in 1912.
Simon Young, Head of History at BBC Factual Commissioning, stated the series provided a detailed account of the ship's final hours and that recreating Titanic with lights over the harbour honours its construction in the city.
Keiran Doherty, co-CEO of Stellify Media, noted that filming in Belfast created a direct link to the ship's history.
The BBC Northern Ireland Creative team produced footage of the drone event. Campaign elements will appear on social media and YouTube.
Further rollout continues through April via billboards, press ads and cinema in Northern Ireland, featuring programmes including Blue Lights, Line of Duty, Hope Street and Funboys.
