The Department for Infrastructure has published the Northern Ireland Planning Statistics: Third Quarter 2025/26 Statistical Bulletin.

Provisional statistics for the third quarter of 2025/26 offer an overview of planning activity across Northern Ireland.

The data include council performance against three statutory targets. These cover major development applications, local development applications and enforcement.

The targets stem from the Local Government (Performance Indicators and Standards) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015.

Additional statistics cover application approval rates and other metrics.
