WWT Castle Espie wetland reserve near Newtownards will host an Easter Adventures programme from 31 March to 12 April 2026. The event features an Easter Egg Trail where visitors follow clues to find lost duck eggs and claim a chocolate prize.

Guided pond dipping sessions will allow participants to use nets and trays to observe water creatures during the Easter weekend. Easter-themed arts and crafts sessions with Boom Studios will enable young visitors to create items to take home.

Paul Stewart, Centre Manager at WWT Castle Espie, stated that Easter provides a good time to visit as nature awakens. He noted the programme aims to let families explore the reserve through the egg trail, pond activities and crafts to connect children with nature.
