Police in Northern Ireland charged a 20-year-old man with rape and sexual activity with a child under the age of 16. Additional charges include sexual activity by an adult with a child aged 13 to 16 and an adult causing or inciting a child aged 13 to 16 to engage in sexual activity.

Detectives from the PSNI Public Protection Branch brought the charges. The man faces court on Friday, March 20th at Belfast Magistrates Court.

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service as standard procedure.
