St Patrick's Day parades took place across Northern Ireland on March 17. Belfast's parade started at City Hall at 1:30pm and proceeded through the city centre. A 10K run began from City Hall earlier that day.

Derry's spring carnival parade started at 15:00 GMT through the town centre. Derry Mayor Ruairí McHugh said the parade increases in size each year. Music, dance and food events occurred in Guildhall Square.

In Enniskillen, a flotilla of 40 boats took place on Lough Erne the night before. St Patrick arrived by boat at Enniskillen Castle with two Irish wolfhounds. The main parade began at 3:30pm from the Castle car park and followed a route through town streets.

Downpatrick in County Down held its parade alongside the 25th anniversary of the St Patrick Centre. Dance troupes, brass bands and pipers marched through the town. A wreath laying service occurred at Down Cathedral at St Patrick's grave.

Armagh hosted the Cormeen Rising Sons of William parade with over 50 bands. Bands assembled at 7pm from the Orange Hall on the Mall and marched through city centre streets. The Home of St Patrick Festival ran from March 10 to 18 and included a concert in Market Square.
