NI Water Donates Waterbutts to Mallusk Preschool
NI Water donated waterbutts to Drumahoe Community Preschool at Mallusk IPS for garden use.
The waterbutts collect rainwater to water plants or clean windows.
Anna Killen, NI Water Education Officer, stated that Northern Ireland receives ample rain, but this water requires treatment before entering taps.
She noted that waterbutts offer one method for residents to contribute to sufficient water supplies for current and future needs.
Killen added that daily water use averages 153 litres per person, with much returning down drains.
NI Water provides a water calculator online to assess personal water usage habits.
