Demolition Begins at Casement Park Stand in Belfast
Demolition of the stand at Casement Park in Belfast began on Wednesday as part of enabling works on the site.
Tim Harkin, Independent Technical Adviser for Ulster GAA, visited the stand ahead of the demolition. Kevin Gamble, Chair of South Antrim GAA, joined him there. Terry Reilly, Vice-chair of Antrim GAA, was also present.
Stephen McGeehan, Head of Operations and Stadium Development for Ulster GAA, attended the pre-demolition visit. Tom Daly, Chairperson of the Casement Park Project Board, took part. Brian McAvoy, Provincial Secretary and CEO of Ulster GAA, was on site.
Ciaran Kearney, Operations Manager for Antrim GAA, appeared at the location. Caroline McLaughlin, Secretary of Antrim GAA, visited ahead of works starting. Michael Hassan of the Casement Park Project Board completed the group.
