Enniskillen Royal Grammar School's senior girls rugby team beat Down High School 22-12 to claim their fourth successive Schools' Cup title. The win marks their fifth final appearance in a row.

Coach Ian Ross attributed the success to the players' character and commitment. He highlighted three key elements: skills, fitness, and teamwork. Ross noted the team effort and positive mood on the pitch contribute to strong performances.

The squad's leaders include captains Scarlett Keys, Amy Ross, Olivia Black, Leah Irwin, and Orla Maguire, along with Clare Bowes and Catherine Deane. Ross praised their qualities beyond rugby.

Enniskillen players also competed in the U18 Girls final against Virginia, which they lost. The Enniskillen Women team faces Malone Women in the Junior Cup Final at Ravenhill this weekend.

The senior girls will tour Valencia, Spain, later this month to play Valencia Rugby Club and CAU. This follows their previous tour there three years ago, the first by an Ulster girls school team. After returning, they enter the Irish National Schools Girls' Sevens in Dublin.

In recent Sevens events, the team placed fourth, then third with a plate win, and runners-up last year. Ross outlined a four-stage plan for the year: reach and win the Schools' Cup, tour successfully, and excel in Sevens.
