Zara Cunning, 33, from Mullagh Park in Maghera, took items from the TK Maxx store on Thomas Street in Ballymena on November 27 last year.

Ballymena Magistrates Court heard the goods were recovered. The court session took place on March 5.

A defence barrister stated Cunning acted under the influence of fear due to an active threat against her.

District Judge Nigel Broderick addressed Cunning, noting her claim of duress does not serve as a defence and observing her guilty plea.

Cunning has a record that includes drugs offences and shoplifting. She previously received a suspended prison sentence.

The judge deferred sentencing until May.
