The Brickwork Bar in Derry has been sold to Stephen Doherty. Owner McLaughlin announced the sale in a social media post. The bar will stay open during the handover.

McLaughlin plans to take over The Glen Bar on Dungiven Road in Waterside. He described it as a local pub with good staff and customers. He expects to start trading there by the weekend.

In his announcement, McLaughlin thanked customers for their support over nine years. He credited them with helping build the bar's success.

He expressed gratitude to musicians and entertainers who performed there. McLaughlin also thanked all staff for their hard work and dedication over the years.

He gave special recognition to manager Nuala for keeping operations smooth. McLaughlin said she handled issues effectively and maintained order.

McLaughlin wished Doherty success with The Brickwork. He invited Derry customers to follow the new Glen Bar page.
