Ryan McMullan, 23, from Drumtara in Ballymena, pleaded not guilty to possessing a hammer with intent to cause damage. He also denied attempting to damage a vehicle in the St Patrick's Walk area of Ballymena.

The charges relate to an incident on December 9. Ballymena Magistrates Court heard the pleas on March 5.

The court adjourned the case until March 19 to set a date for contest.
