Cancer Focus NI will hold Breast Cancer Body Confidence Events in three Northern Ireland locations during April. The sessions target women affected by breast cancer and provide support on self-care, mindfulness, body confidence and peer support.

Each event accommodates up to 30 women. Breast cancer specialists will lead the sessions. The Pink Ribbon Foundation funds the initiative.

The first session occurs on Thursday 16 April from 10am to 2.30pm at the Fermanagh Cancer Support Centre, 18 High Street, Enniskillen. A second takes place on Thursday 23 April from 10am to 2.30pm at the Leighinmohr Hotel in Ballymena. The final event happens on Thursday 30 April from 10am to 2.30pm at the Newforge Sports and Event Hub Centre in Belfast.

Tea, coffee and lunch will be available to attendees. The events respond to feedback from women who used the charity's bra and swimwear fitting service and raised body image concerns after treatment.

Emma Wilson, Bra Fitting Coordinator at Cancer Focus NI, noted that women often struggle with body confidence post-treatment, including avoiding their scars. She described how fittings help women regain a positive self-image.

Women can register by emailing care@cancerfocusni.org or calling 028 9066 3281.
