Waringstown Man Faces Custody Warning After Missing Court on Ammunition Charge
Stephen Andrew White, 42, from Windsor Close in Waringstown, did not attend Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
White pleaded guilty to possessing one round of handgun ammunition without a firearms certificate. The charge relates to an incident on August 13 of last year.
District Judge Michael Ranaghan ordered a Pre-Sentence Report for White. The judge noted the maximum penalty in the court is an extended sentence of up to one year for possessing ammunition.
Judge Ranaghan commented that one round has limited use without a gun. He stated that details would be clarified in the Pre-Sentence Report.
The case was adjourned until April 17. Judge Ranaghan warned White that failure to attend with Probation would likely result in custody.
