The Northern Ireland Judicial Appointments Commission has appointed two lay members, Deirdre Toner and Mark Mitchell, for four-year terms ending on 24 February 2030.

Deirdre Toner serves as chair of the Civil Service Commission NI and as an independent panel member with the General Optical Council. She resides in Newry.

Mark Mitchell works as an associate with McWilliams Associates and as a non-executive director on the board of Cunningham Covers Ltd in Maghera.
