Lurgan Park Fun Run Generates £11,700 for Evora Hospice
A fun run at Lurgan Park on Sunday, March 1, collected more than £11,700 for Evora Hospice.
Tony McKeown of the organising committee reported 600 runners registered online ahead of the event, with additional sign-ups on the day. He noted the participation has increased yearly, bringing total funds raised over 12 years above £96,000.
McKeevers Sports supplied medals, T-shirts, winner prizes and handled administration. Tesco Lurgan provided fruit, while S&W Wholesale contributed brunch bars and Aqua Twist supplied water.
Fitness Factory led the warm-up session. McDonald's Lurgan sponsored first aid services, Dermot Winters provided the timing clock, and Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council offered the park venue along with staff and supplies.
Runners came from various parts of Northern Ireland and included participants of all ages.
