Jon Burrows, MLA for North Antrim and leader of the Ulster Unionist Party, will hold a meeting with people living with Parkinson's and their carers in Ballymena. The session takes place on Friday 20 March at Ballymena North Business Centre from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

Attendees can raise issues related to delays in healthcare appointments, treatments and medications. Nikita Ferguson, campaigns and policy officer at Parkinson’s UK Northern Ireland, stated that the charity received reports from the community on access problems affecting daily activities.

The event allows participants to describe their experiences with Parkinson's and direct questions to Burrows on support options in North Antrim. Registration is needed in advance via email to nferguson@parkinsons.org.uk or online.

A local Parkinson's support group operates from the same venue at 120 Cushendall Road. It convenes on the third Friday of each month from 3pm to 4.30pm and accepts anyone impacted by the condition.

The branch seeks volunteers for various roles. Interested parties can contact Jimmy by email at jimmy.mcclean@outlook.com, phone 028 2564 8398 or 07826 336698.
