South Eastern Regional College ran community support events at its Bangor and Lisburn campuses. The gatherings occurred after a rescheduling from early February due to a storm.

Hundreds of students attended alongside staff and organisation representatives. Participants gained details on employment, volunteering and support links from local community groups.

The events aimed at students completing their college courses. Access extended to all students plus parents and carers.

Attendees connected with community and disability support organisations. They covered options in training, further education, volunteering and job assistance after SERC studies.

Shirley Moore, SERC career manager, stated the events enabled students and families to access these post-study resources.
