The 2 Johnnies Headline Féile an Phobail Debut in Belfast Falls Park
The 2 Johnnies will headline a concert at Féile an Phobail in Falls Park, Belfast, on Friday, July 31. The event partners with promoters MCD and Shine. Supporting acts include The Shamrocks, The Highstool Prophets, Erasured, Mark McCabe, Roll With It, DJ Chris Armstrong and Pete Snodden.
Jonathon McMahon and John O'Brien form the duo. They achieved an Irish number one album ahead of Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. The pair also secured over ten Irish number one singles and host the top podcast in the country.
The duo sold out Dublin's 3Arena several times. They drew 20,000 attendees to St Anne's Park and headlined Musgrave Park in Cork under the name Pints in a Field. Tours covered North America, Canada and Australia.
Féile an Phobail Director Kevin Gamble confirmed the duo's first appearance at the festival on July 31. He stated this year's event features extra concerts and prominent performers through the partnership with MCD and Shine. The festival targets entertainment for Belfast audiences.
Another concert at Falls Park on August 7 features The Saw Doctors and Hothouse Flowers, supported by More Power To Your Elbow.
Féile an Phobail holds annually in West Belfast as a community festival with music and cultural events.
