The Northern Ireland Civil Service has opened recruitment for around 120 Deputy Principal positions across multiple departments and sites. This campaign represents the first at this level since 2022.

These roles involve work on government policy and assistance to senior staff in running public services and projects for the Executive at Stormont. The hires target current gaps and future openings to limit departments' use of temporary promotions and external agency personnel.

Starting annual salary stands at £47,304 with added annual leave allowance and pension benefits. The Civil Service promotes inclusive hiring and carries Silver Diversity Mark and Disability Positive credentials.
