Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has appointed Maria McAllister to the board of Invest Northern Ireland. The appointment takes effect on 1 August 2026 and runs until 31 March 2029.

She replaces Peter Lynch, who has stepped down from the position.

In a statement, the Minister said Ms McAllister brings valuable experience in governance and risk management. She added that the new board member will help Invest NI support businesses, attract investment and drive economic growth across Northern Ireland.

The Minister thanked Mr Lynch for his commitment and positive contribution during his time on the board.

The appointment was made in accordance with the Code of Practice issued by the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland.
