A West Belfast whiskey producer has entered a partnership with Celtic F.C. to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the club's famous 1967 European Cup victory.

Michael Morris, founder of An Gael Irish whiskey, announced the collaboration this week. It will see the launch of a single malt called The Spirit of the Celts, referring to the Lisbon Lions team that won the trophy.

The whiskey will go on sale on 1 August, marking the start of the 2026-27 football season. The anniversary year falls in 2027.

Morris returned to West Belfast yesterday to promote the initiative.
