Invest NI has confirmed that its backing has resulted in £85 million of new investment and the creation of 400 jobs in the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area.

The agency works to grow the Northern Ireland economy by helping businesses compete internationally and by attracting inward investment. Its support can include financial assistance, advice, and access to networks.

The Newry, Mourne and Down district spans parts of counties Armagh and Down, bordering the Republic of Ireland. It includes the city of Newry and towns such as Downpatrick and Newcastle.
