Sacred Heart Primary School, Dundrum won the Jarlath Carey Memorial Cup for the first time in the school's history, beating St Macartan's PS, Loughinisland in a tight final at Páirc Seán Ó Caoilte.

The decisive score came from Casey Rogan, whose goal helped Sacred Heart to a 1-3 to 1-1 victory. The Dundrum school had never reached the final before this year's competition, the fifth staging of the event.

In the Dundrum GAC Shield final, St Joseph's PS, Carnacaville defeated St Mary's PS, Newcastle by a single point, 1-3 to 1-2.

Six schools took part in the round-robin tournament: St Francis' PS, Drumaroad; St Nicholas' PS, Ardglass; St Mary's PS, Newcastle; St Joseph's PS, Carnacaville; Sacred Heart PS, Dundrum; and St Macartan's PS, Loughinisland.

The day was hosted by Dundrum GAC. The Jarlath Carey Memorial Cup was presented by Martin Carey on behalf of the Carey family, while Dundrum GAC President Eddie Campbell presented the Shield.

Referees for the matches were Coran Clendenning, Nathan Stone and Jack McMullan. Sacred Heart coach Ruairi McGuigan was congratulated by organisers for his work with the team throughout the year.
