The Department of Justice has launched a recruitment campaign for a new Chairperson and one Board member to serve on the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust (PRRT).

PRRT is an executive non-departmental public body that delivers psychological therapies, physiotherapy, coaching, development, training and education programmes. Its services are available to police officers retiring from the Police Service of Northern Ireland or the Royal Ulster Constabulary GC, as well as other justice partners.

The appointments are expected to commence in September 2026, for a term of up to four years.

The Chairperson role carries an annual remuneration of £10,000, while the Board member will receive £5,000 per annum. The anticipated time commitment for the Chairperson is approximately 12 days per year, though both roles may require attendance at functions outside normal office hours.

Applications must be submitted by noon on Thursday 25 June 2026.
