Comber Earlies Food Festival Returns on June 20
The Comber Earlies Food Festival will take place on Saturday, June 20, from 11am to 5pm in the car park of Comber Leisure Centre.
The free event marks the return of a flagship occasion in the Taste Summer in Ards and North Down programme.
It marks the local potato variety that has held Protected Geographical Indication status since 2012.
Visitors can attend live cookery demonstrations, visit an artisan food and drink market, view vintage tractor displays, listen to live music and take part in hands-on activities for all ages.
Mayor of Ards and North Down Gillian McCollum said the festival celebrates one of the borough's iconic local products and the people who grow it.
She said the occasion shows the strength of the local food and drink sector and provides a family day out.
Free shuttle buses will run from Bangor, Newtownards, Dundonald Park and Ride, Downpatrick, Crossgar, Saintfield and Ballygowan to the event site.
The festival is one of a series of food events running across the borough from June 17 to 28.
