A 24-year-old entrepreneur from Ballycastle has won silver in the HSBC & FSB Start-Up Business Awards.

Declan McCook founded Niche Coastal, a mobile sauna business, just over a year ago.

The awards ceremony was held on 12 May 2026 at the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa in Glasgow.

Niche Coastal offers mobile sauna sessions at coastal locations across Northern Ireland for private hires and wellness events.

McCook said the recognition among successful start-ups from Scotland and Northern Ireland is a significant achievement.

He stated that he launched the company at age 23 with a focus on delivering consistent high-quality experiences.

The business remains based in Ballycastle and continues to expand its services in the region.
