Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council will lead a business and investment mission to London later this month. The mission includes a Business & Investment Showcase at the Tower of London. The event theme is Powering Growth: Partnerships for Investment.

The showcase connects investors and business leaders from Greater London with companies from Lisburn and Castlereagh. A London Trade Programme runs alongside it. Local businesses will meet partners, investors and customers through the programme.

Funding comes from the Local Economic Partnership, Department for the Economy and Invest NI. The mission supports export growth and access to new markets. It forms part of trade activity across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Europe.

Mayor Amanda Grehan said the programme enables engagement with investors to highlight local economic opportunities. She added the council aims to keep the area attractive for investment and business.

Regeneration and Growth Committee Chair Cllr Claire Kemp said the area has around 5,000 businesses, many operating only in Northern Ireland. She noted the council supports companies seeking growth and new trade links.

Jonathan Holmes from Creative Composites will join council representatives at the showcase.
