Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council will lead a business and investment mission to London later this month. The mission seeks to attract investment and build commercial partnerships for the area.

The Business & Investment Showcase, themed Powering Growth: Partnerships for Investment, will connect investors and business leaders from Greater London with companies from Lisburn and Castlereagh. The main event takes place at the Tower of London.

A London Trade Programme will allow local businesses to meet partners, investors and customers. The programme supports new commercial opportunities and export growth.

Funding comes partly from the Local Economic Partnership, the Department for the Economy and Invest NI. This mission fits into broader trade efforts across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Europe.

Mayor Amanda Grehan stated the programme enables direct engagement with investors to showcase local economic opportunities and maintain the area as a place for investment and business.

Regeneration and Growth Committee Chair Cllr Claire Kemp noted the area has around 5,000 businesses, many operating only in Northern Ireland. The council works with companies seeking growth and new trade links.

Local business representative Jonathan Holmes from Creative Composites will participate in the showcase to demonstrate innovation and export potential.
