Courts: Pensioner loses fatal crash appeal as man convicted over threats to TV models
DOWNPATRICK: A 75-year-old woman who knocked down and killed a pedestrian in Donaghadee on 23 November 2023 failed in her appeal against both conviction and sentence at Downpatrick County Court. Judge Mark McGarrity affirmed her conviction for causing death by careless driving and upheld her £750 fine and two-year driving ban.
UNKNOWN LOCATION: A man with a previous record for harassing women was sentenced at a Magistrates' Court after admitting sending threatening and grossly offensive messages via a public electronic communications network between July and December 2024. The messages were directed at models employed by an adult TV channel, and included posts on social media tagging the women alongside threats of serious harm.
