Louisa Wilson turned 105 in her north Belfast home at Sunningdale Gardens. She has resided there for more than 50 years as a Housing Executive tenant.

Housing Executive staff from north Belfast visited her on the day. Local community members also attended and gave her flowers and cards.

Wilson attributes her longevity to porridge for breakfast and sherry after lunch.

Anthony McKenna, the North Belfast Housing Executive area manager, noted pleasure in marking the milestone with her. He added that she continues to reside in the home after over 50 years.
