A 6K community walk takes place in Belleek, County Fermanagh, on Saturday, May 16, to raise funds for the Garrison Rectory. Rev Rebecca Guildea supports the event.

Registration opens at 9:30am at Wark Hall, the start and finish point. The walk begins at 10:30am. Adults pay £10 to join, with children aged 11 and under entering free.

The route runs down Belleek's main street to the fire station, along Knader Road toward Kesh, then back via Dolan's Lane to Wark Hall.

Organisers note fundraising for the rectory has continued for two years across four churches: Garrison, Slavin, Belleek, and Kiltyclogher. Most prior events occurred in Garrison. This walk shifts attention to Belleek.

Funds target a new avenue for the rectory, which requires major work due to its poor condition. The rectory needs regular repairs as a large building shared by the churches.

Refreshments appear along the route, including a stop by Belleek treasurer Gill Sheeshan. Tea, coffee, scones, and biscuits serve at Wark Hall post-walk. Each registrant gets a raffle ticket for three prizes.

More fundraisers follow, with organisers halfway to their target.
