Belfast Harbour Marina Reopens with Additional Berths After Refurbishment
Belfast Harbour Marina reopened after a refurbishment that added new berths for yachts and recreational vessels. The marina sits between Titanic Belfast and the SSE Arena.
Pontoon length increased from 775 metres to over 807 metres. Total berths rose from 60 to 67. Each berth includes water and pay-as-you-go electricity connections.
Infrastructure upgrades support year-round operations. Restraint piles and an extension to Pontoon D restored 12 berths previously unavailable in winter or bad weather.
The marina accommodates vessels up to 25 metres long with a maximum draught of 3.7 metres. The marina building provides showers, kitchen, laundry facilities and free wi-fi.
It received Blue Flag accreditation in 2025 for environmental management and facilities.
Marina Manager Duncan Paterson stated demand remains strong from long-term holders and visiting craft. He noted the marina attracts visitors, aids local businesses and supports Belfast's maritime heritage. Paterson added it holds potential to boost tourism, footfall and jobs.
