Two cinemas in Derry will host free screenings of the Japanese psychological horror film EXIT 8 on April 13, 2026. The Brunswick Moviebowl schedules its showing at 6:30pm. Omniplex Derry plans to screen the film at 6:00pm on the same day.

The screenings form part of Escapes, a UK cinema initiative backed by BFI National Lottery funding. Escapes provides over 100 free screenings each month across independent cinemas. The programme has distributed more than 200,000 free tickets since starting in 2024.

EXIT 8 releases nationwide on April 24, 2026. More than 130 UK cinemas will offer free viewings on April 13-14, 2026. Free tickets become available via escapetothecinema.co.uk.

The film adapts the 2023 Japanese video game The Exit 8, which sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Genki Kawamura directs the movie, which stars Kazunari Ninomiya.
