Rural Support in Tyrone Gains £75,000 from NFU Mutual Charitable Trust
Rural Support, a Tyrone-based farming charity, received a £75,000 donation from the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust. The funds support services for farmers and farming families across Northern Ireland.
The donation enables Rural Support to expand outreach and frontline services. It funds the confidential Support Line, one-to-one assistance, wellbeing programmes, and early intervention initiatives.
Demand for Rural Support's programmes has increased by 40 percent in recent years. Farmers face financial uncertainty, market volatility, isolation, and mental health challenges.
Lauren Finlay, Regional Manager at NFU Mutual, stated that the trust provides funding to help Rural Support continue its work for the farming community. She noted that farmers encounter unique pressures and the charity offers confidential support and practical help.
