Belfast Zoo Receives £75,000 for Accessible Hop-On Hop-Off Train
Belfast City Council has allocated £75,000 for a new hop-on hop-off train at Belfast Zoo. The service aims to assist visitors in navigating the site's steep terrain.
Castle SDLP councillor Carl Whyte welcomed the investment. He noted that the steep paths have long made it difficult for visitors to enjoy the zoo fully.
The train will serve families with young children and prams, people with disabilities, and older visitors. It provides a fully accessible way to experience the zoo's attractions.
Whyte stated that the service ensures more people can access the zoo's endangered species and support ongoing conservation efforts by animal experts.
The zoo is located in North Belfast.
