Phoenix Energy launched a £600 cashback scheme yesterday to support homeowners switching from oil to natural gas heating. The Boiler Replacement Allowance targets households in Greater Belfast, Carrickfergus, Larne, Whitehead, and East Down.

The initiative requires a gross annual household income below £90,000 for eligibility. Action Renewables manages the administration and checks for the program. The offer runs until 30 June 2026.

Phoenix Energy unveiled the scheme at a Northern Ireland Network Gas Association event at La Mon Hotel in Belfast. Over 120 local installers and boiler manufacturers attended.

Neil McCracken, General Sales Manager at Phoenix Energy, stated that the cashback addresses installation cost barriers for families seeking reliable gas heating. He noted that Phoenix typically provides free network connections.

Terry Waugh, Chief Executive at Action Renewables, said the partnership aids oil users with financial support for cleaner heating options.
