Zurich Insurance has acquired RedClick Insurance in a multi-million pound deal. RedClick operates as the new brand for the Irish operations of Liberty Insurance.

Liberty Mutual Insurance bought Quinn Insurance in November 2011. Quinn Insurance was founded in 1996 by Fermanagh businessman Sean Quinn.

RedClick Insurance employs more than 400 staff in offices located in Enniskillen, Cavan and Dublin. The company serves over 250,000 customers across the island of Ireland.

Zurich Insurance currently employs more than 1,000 people in Ireland in general insurance, life and pensions operations.

Anthony Brennan, Chief Executive of Zurich Ireland, called the acquisition an important milestone for the company and the insurance sector. He stated that the RedClick team and customers will transfer to Zurich's non-life insurance business in Ireland after completion.
