Pupils at St Ronan's Primary School in Lisnaskea took part in World Book Day activities. They dressed as characters from their favourite books and shared details about the stories.

Layla appeared as Matilda from a Roald Dahl book. She described how Matilda glues a hat on her father's head, causing his hair to come off. She also mentioned enjoying Danny the Champion of the World and Horrid Henry.

Murreann dressed as Mrs Twit from another Roald Dahl book. She explained that the Twits end up stuck upside down with worms in their spaghetti.

Niamh chose Princess Niamh, who dances at a royal ball with Prince William. Ava Rose selected Bunny vs Monkey by Jamie Smart, featuring adventures with Bunny, Monkey, Donkey, and Pig.

Freya went as Little Red Riding Hood, who meets a wolf on the way to her grandmother's. Kylih portrayed Belle from Beauty and the Beast, who stays with the beast to free her father.

Sonny dressed as Spider-Man, whose real name is Peter and who excels at science. Cillian brought Football's Greatest Moments. Sydney chose The Ninjabread Man, a gingerbread figure that comes alive.

Orla selected Little Red Riding Hood, where the wolf disguises itself as the grandmother before being defeated. Rionagh appeared as Hermione from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J K Rowling.
