Three Women Finish Level 3 Packaging Course at CAFRE Loughry
Three women from Northern Ireland's food industry have completed the PIABC Level 3 Certificate in Packaging at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise Loughry Campus. Anna Lowes works as Group Central Control PLU Coordinator at ABP Food Group. Chloe Moore serves as Group Food Safety Supply Chain Technologist at Dunbia. Clare Hughes is Quality Support Manager at Lakeland Dairies in Newtownards.
The course, run by CAFRE's Food Packaging Team, covers packaging materials, sustainability, legislation, food safety, print, design and supply chain roles. The women applied the training to workplace scenarios during the programme.
CAFRE marked the achievement on International Women's Day. The college provides vocational training in agriculture, food and rural enterprise through its campuses, including Loughry in County Tyrone.
Senior Food Technologist Adele Dallas praised the women's dedication and professionalism. She noted their success highlights personal ambition and women's rising role in packaging and agri-food industries. Dallas called them role models for those entering the field.
CAFRE now seeks interest for Level 2 and Level 3 packaging courses.
