Unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings have been reported in various locations across Northern Ireland in recent years. In 2024, four reports were recorded from Crumlin, Belfast, Bangor, and Newtownabbey. Additional sightings occurred in 2025, including three orange lights forming a triangle over Armagh that moved and dispersed.

A call was received from Cyprus Park in East Belfast reporting an object above the airport and docks area. Another call from Norwood Court in Coleraine mentioned 'UFO' before the line was cut off. Two photographs of an orb-like object were posted online last year, with the witness claiming it disappeared on a skyward trajectory.

Further claims followed the online post, including similar sightings near Belfast docks and Holywood. Historical Ministry of Defence files from 1981 to 1996 document UFO sightings in Northern Ireland, such as silent egg-shaped crafts and objects near Belfast International Airport moving at approximately 3,000 mph.

A specific case was noted in Trooperslane, Carrickfergus, in 1986.
