Pupils from Belfast Boys’ Model School produced and presented a magazine show titled 'Model Moments'. The programme aired on That’s TV Belfast on Freeview channel 7 and Virgin channel 159 last week. It is available to view on YouTube.

The project involved collaboration with creative industry professionals, including artist Jazzmin McClure, journalist Mark Devenport, and television production company NVTV. Pupils created segments on science experiments and cookery. They also interviewed north Belfast sports personality Carl Frampton and former pupils working in creative industries.

Funding came through the National Lottery Creative Schools Partnership Programme, supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and delivered in partnership with the Education Authority.

Belfast Boys’ Model School is one of nine post-primary schools in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry participating in the scheme. The programme aims to enhance educational outcomes by integrating creative skills into the classroom.

The Creative Schools Partnership Programme at the school continues until June 2027. It involves additional projects to develop pupils’ digital, organisational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills alongside professional artists and school staff.
